1. What is this sheet for?

This sheet provides important information for the safe use of our 3D-printed products and helps us comply with legal requirements for online commerce (e.g., the EU Product Safety Regulation). If an item description states otherwise, what is written there always applies.

2. The Special Properties of PETG: Heat and Weather

PETG is more robust and slightly more flexible than PLA, closely related to the material of PET beverage bottles. However, there are a few points you should still consider:

  • The 70-Degree Limit: More heat-resistant than PLA, but do not use continuously above 70 °C – even this plastic softens at extreme heat.
  • Heat Sources: Keep away from very hot heaters, ovens, stovetops, open flames, and glowing surfaces.
  • Car & Windowsill: Holds up significantly better in summer than other printing materials – directly behind the windshield in midsummer, it can still get too hot in exceptional cases.
  • Outdoors (weatherproof): Handles UV rays and moisture well – suitable for outdoor use, unless otherwise described.

3. Simple Safety Rules

  • Check for cracks, sharp edges, or wobbles before each use.
  • Do not continue to use damaged, splintered, or severely bent products.
  • Not a toy – for adults only, unless otherwise described.
  • For safety, do not put in the dishwasher or microwave – very hot water and harsh dishwasher tablets can make the material brittle over time.
  • Not intended for direct food contact or medical purposes – 3D printing creates tiny grooves where bacteria can collect.
  • Do not use for safety-critical, heavy loads.
  • Use only for the described purpose – no liability for misuse.

4. Cleaning and Care

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth – warm water with a little dish soap is fine. Do not use extremely harsh cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or thinners. Air dry.

5. What you should not do

  • Do not use as a climbing aid, step, or protective device.
  • Do not use for safety-critical car or motorcycle parts without explicit approval.
  • Do not drill, sand, or glue carelessly – modifications are at your own risk.

6. Disposal

Product and packaging belong in the appropriate local trash bins. PETG can be recycled similarly to beverage bottles – it belongs in the yellow bin (for recyclables) or general waste, never in organic waste.

7. Typical for 3D Printing

Our products are created using the FDM 3D printing process – built layer by layer. Fine layer lines, slight color differences, or minimal "strands" are normal and not a production defect.

In short: PETG products are robust, weather-resistant helpers for indoor and outdoor use. Keep away from small children (choking hazard) and protect from temperatures above 70 °C. Do not continue to use if broken or cracked.
