Materials

What are our 3D prints made of?

We manufacture your products using the FDM 3D printing process. This involves melting plastic and applying it layer by layer. Depending on the application, we use different high-performance plastics. Here you can find out which material is right for your purpose:

PLA (The Eco-Friendly All-Rounder)

  • Ideal for: Decor, figures, indoor organization systems.
  • Properties: PLA is made from renewable raw materials (like cornstarch) and is biodegradable. It offers extreme detail and hardness.
  • Important: Not heat resistant! PLA softens at approx. 50 °C. Do not leave PLA parts in a hot car in summer and never put them in the dishwasher.

PETG (The Tough One for Everyday Use)

  • Ideal for: Holders, mechanical parts, and items that need to be more robust.
  • Properties: PETG is more flexible and fracture-resistant than PLA. It is water-repellent and can withstand higher temperatures (up to approx. 75 °C).

ABS & ASA (The Outdoor Professionals)

  • Ideal for: Car accessories, balcony mounts, tools.
  • Properties: Extremely impact-resistant and heat-resistant (up to approx. 90–100 °C). ASA is additionally UV-resistant – it does not yellow or warp even in direct sunlight.

TPU (The Flexible Rubber)

  • Ideal for: Protective covers, dampers, flexible seals.
  • Properties: TPU is a rubber-like plastic. It can be bent, squeezed, and perfectly absorbs shocks.

(Cleaning tip: Please clean all our FDM prints by hand only with a damp cloth and lukewarm water. Due to the microscopic layer grooves, they are not suitable for dishwashers or moist, unpackaged foods.)
